Project Architect with over twenty-five years of experience in various capacities in the design and construction industry. With a background that includes design, construction administration, building operations and asset management, Dorothy is ideally positioned to guide clients through the entire process of complex planning and construction projects. Her experience includes commercial, residential, government and educational projects.
Dorothy brings a diverse background to Chicago Design Network, with an exceptional understanding of building systems, life-cycle cost analysis and project delivery. Integrating this construction experience with outstanding organization and communication skills ensures an informed dialogue to help clients optimize facilities investments.
Along with her colleagues at Chicago Design Network, Dorothy is committed to responsible sustainable design. She has authored Chicago Design Network’s Reference Guide for Implementation of Energy-Savings Initiatives, and brings practical, business sense to the idea of high-performance buildings.
Dorothy is a licensed architect and LEED Accredited Professional with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana. She has served on the Village of LaGrange Plan commission, is a member of the American Institute of Architects and Chicago Women in Architecture.
